St. Catherine’s of Siena Church was the setting for the marriage of Greenwich High School graduate Lauren Danielle Sorese to Trinity Catholic graduate Timothy Peter Robbins. Father Gilbert D’Souza, a former priest at St. Catherine’s who has known the bride since she was a child, officiated. The newlyweds both grew up in town and began dating four years ago. Tim popped the question on Christmas Eve 2005.
The bride, the daughter of Vince and Denise Sorese of Riverside, graduated from Florida State University and worked in merchandising before pursuing a master’s degree in education at Sacred Heart University. She is interning at Holmes Elementary School in Darien. The groom is the son of former Greenwich Police Chief Peter Robbins and Eileen Robbins. After serving in the United States Marine Corps for four years, Tim works for Stamford Motorsports.
Following a honeymoon in Mexico’s Riviera Maya, the couple resides in Cos Cob.
 When it comes to family weddings, Dr. Joseph and Ginger Boldt have hit the trifecta! Their three daughters have all been married within the last four years. The youngest daughter, Heather Mayer Boldt, recently took her vows with Michael John Gill at the First Presbyterian Church of Stamford. The Reverend William A. Evertsberg of the First Presbyterian Church of Greenwich officiated. A reception followed at the home of the bride’s parents, where guests enjoyed a family-style feast, complete with hand-rolled cigars and fire-pit s’mores.
Heather graduated from Greenwich High School and Dartmouth College. She is a convertible bond sales trader for JPMorgan Chase. Michael, the son of Michael and Kathleen Gill of Staten Island, New York, graduated from Farrell High School in Staten Island, and the State University of New York in Albany. He is vice president in equities sales trading for JPMorgan Chase.
The New York newlyweds honeymooned in Kona, Hawaii.

Polly Livingston Howland, daughter of William and Martha Howland of Riverside, married Jeffrey Michael Stoyer. The couple met through their mutual interest in shamanism. Both were involved in fourth-generation Inca shaman Don José Tamayo workshops. Jeff wanted to take the couple’s therapy course, but he didn’t have a partner, so he asked Polly if she would be interested. The two traveled to Ecuador in 2005 with Polly’s parents to study with Don José Tamayo, and it was there that the relationship took root. The Reverend Jim Wisecup, leader of the couple’s workshop, married Polly and Jeff at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. A reception followed at Riverside Yacht Club where the newlyweds entered under an arch of Incan spears. The cake was cut using Polly’s grandfather’s military sword. Don José Tamayo blessed the happy couple.
Polly is a graduate of Greenwich High School, Elon University and the Connecticut College of Massage Therapy. Jeff, the son of Michael Stoyer and Dorothy Stoyer of Hamden, Connecticut, is the founder of North East Kitchens. Following a honeymoon in Hawaii, the Stoyers live in Meriden, Connecticut.

Martha Madden Payne met Eric Laurence Zacharek at a fundraiser Martha was hosting for a foundation. They both knew that night that it was kismet. Eric proposed on a romantic Bahamian getaway.
The Reverend Avery C. Manchester, who had christened Martha, married the couple at the First Church of Round Hill. A reception followed at the Round Hill Club.
The bride is the daughter of Kathryn M. Payne of Greenwich and the late Halbert E. Payne. A graduate of Westminster and Boston University, Martha works at Baystate Financial Services in Boston.
The groom, son of Diane M. and Laurence G. Zacharek of Syracuse, New York, graduated magna cum laude from Boston University and will begin the MBA program at MIT’s Sloan School of Management in the fall. He is a manufacturing manager for Aspect Medical Systems in Norwood, Massachusetts.
The Boston newlyweds honeymooned on the Yucatán Peninsula in Puerto Morales, Mexico.

Snowbird Mountain employees Elizabeth Cook McDonald and Anthony Michael Mallen met in Utah. Anthony was so smitten, he left love notes on Elizabeth’s desk. A proposal followed on a cliff overlooking Sunset Point at Capitol Reef National Park in Utah. The couple was married by the Reverend Autry Nassar on the lawn of the Ahwahnee in Yosemite National Park. A reception followed. In keeping with family tradition, the bride wore orange blossoms in her hair given to her by her grandmother, who had them in her veil in 1942, and her mother, who wore them in 1967.
The bride, daughter of Robert and Patricia McDonald of Old Greenwich and Washington, D.C., attended Greenwich High School, Lady Eden’s School in London, and Colorado State University in Fort Collins. She works in sales for Christy Sports in Snowbird.
The groom, son of Gail Mallen and the late Shepard Mallen of Exeter, New Hampshire, graduated from Newport Harbor High School, Newport, California. He works for Aspen Roofing in Salt Lake City, Utah.
The Mallens honeymooned in Australia and Tasmania.
 A proposal written in the snow while snowshoeing in Mt. Hood National Forest in Oregon led to the Stanwich Congregational Church wedding of Maren Christine Hvolbeck to Peter Hevering Sorensen. During the service, mezzo-soprano Holly Sorensen, sister of the groom, sang Ave Maria, accompanied by the organist Mark Swicegood and trumpeter Michael Flynt. The reception followed at the Tomes- Higgins House in Greenwich. The bride and groom are both Greenwich High School graduates, where Peter was a member of the water polo team, but they didn’t know each other then. After working in different states, they met several years after college in Greenwich. A long-distance relationship ensued. Maren attended Northeastern University and holds a professional certificate from the New York School of Interior Design. The business development manager of the Heritage Consulting Group, she is the daughter of Judith Hvolbeck and Richard Hvolbeck of Greenwich and the stepdaughter of Susan Hvolbeck.
The groom graduated from Washington and Lee University and is employed as an underwriting specialist at CAN Healthpro in Lake Oswego, Oregon. He is the son of Alice and Eric Sorensen of Greenwich and Boston. The Portland, Oregon, residents honeymooned in Bermuda before heading back west.
