Alexandra Marie Ridberg met Steven Vincent Krasnica in their senior year at Villanova University. The two
were next-door neighbors on North Roberts Road. Steve popped the question in St. Maarten at sunset, with an engagement ring that the bride’s sister had smuggled to the island in her luggage. Father Stephen DeLuca of St. Catherine of Siena performed the ceremony at Saint Mary Church. A boy’s choir from the Church of the Transfiguration in New York City performed at the wedding Mass. The bride’s parents and maternal grandparents were also married at Saint Mary Church. Married during the infamous sidewalk sales, the couple stopped traffic for a special kiss in the middle of Greenwich Avenue. A reception followed at Burning Tree Country Club.

The bride, daughter of Claudia and Rudy Ridberg, attended the Convent of the Sacred Heart and graduated from Greenwich High School, Villanova University and Fairfield University. She is a nurse at Greenwich Hospital.

The groom, son of Barbara Krasnica and the late Dr. Stephen Krasnica of Mendham, New Jersey, graduated from the Delbarton School, Villanova University and Seton Hall University. He is a third-year medical student at Saint John’s Queens Hospital in New York.

The couple honeymooned in Athens and the Greek Isles. They divide their time between Greenwich and New York City.
