Kristen Anne Pfeil and Craig Christopher White met after one of Craig’s ice hockey games. Both were attending college in Philadelphia — she at Arcadia University and he at the University of Pennsylvania. Craig proposed on a highway exit near Mohegan Sun after a Lionel Richie concert.
The couple was married in the garden of Mount Hope Farm in Bristol, Rhode Island, and a reception followed in a restored barn on the farm.
The bride, daughter of Susan and Walter Pfeil of North Kingstown, Rhode Island, graduated from North Kingstown High School as well as Arcadia University. She is completing her master’s degree in art therapy at the College of New Rochelle.
The groom attended Greenwich High School and is a graduate of the Kent School, as well as the Wharton School of Business of the University of Pennsylvania. He is a senior vice president with NYPPEX, a private equity firm in Greenwich. His is the son of Eileen and Craig W. White of Greenwich.
The Katonah, New York, newlyweds honeymooned in Monaco and France, where Craig surprised Kristen with a stopover that included a Rolling Stones concert.
