| Wendy Becker Hinman and Michael Barry Ryan met while both were working at the sports marketing firm Octagon. The Reverend Mary Johnstone, a family friend of the Hinmans, performed the wedding ceremony. She was assisted by Monsignor James Moore of St. Joseph’s Catholic Churchin Croton Falls, New York, who had officiated at the marriage of the groom’s parents. The wedding took place at Trinity Church in Newport, Rhode Island, and a reception followed at New York Yacht Club’s Harbour Court in Newport. The bride, daughter of Emilie and George Hinman of Greenwich, attended Greenwich Country Day School, Greenwich High School and Boston College, where she was a member of the varsity sailing team. She is a senior manager at Pierce Promotions in New York. The groom, son of Regina and Barry Ryan of Southport, North Carolina, graduated from John S. Burke Catholic High School and Lynn University, where he was a member of the varsity golf team. He works for Octagon in the golf division as the tournament director for the Sybase Classic. The couple honeymooned in Antigua and Nevis. They reside in Stamford. |
