A chance meeting at the Greenwich YMCA led to the nuptials of Jennifer Corinne Furlong and William Edward Bogardus at St. Catherine of Siena Church. The Reverend Francis T. Hoffman performed the ceremony, and a reception followed at the New York Athletic Club in Pelham Manor, New York.
The bride, daughter of Thomas M. Furlong of Norwalk and Christine di Scipio of Greenwich, graduated from Greenwich High School, the University of Connecticut and Quinnipiac University School of Law. She works for Gleacher Fund Advisors in Greenwich.
The groom, son of Bruce and Eileen Bogardus of Merrick, Long Island, graduated from the State University of New York at Cortland and Southern Connecticut State University with a master’s degree in education. He is a physical education teacher at North Street Elementary School and founder and owner of Project Fitness, a local personal training company for children.
Following a honeymoon in Maui and Kauai, Hawaii, the couple returned home to Cos Cob.
