Prince Harry to Visit Greenwich
Prince Harry will participate in a polo match at the Greenwich Polo Club in May.
Make way for the Prince! Prince Harry, younger son of Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana, will be touring the United States from May 9 to 15.
Among his stops are Colorado, the damaged parts of the New Jersey shore, NYC, and finally, Greenwich!
While in Connecticut, Prince Harry will participate in an invite-only polo match at the Greenwich Polo Club to raise money for Sentebale, the charity that Prince Harry and Prince Seeiso of Lesotho founded. Sentebale was created to care for impoverished children in Lesotho.
Twenty-eight-year-old Prince Harry will be up against some of the most well known polo players, such as Nacho Figueras of Argentina, who is the face of Ralph Lauren.
The children who are taken care of via Sentebale are the victims of extreme poverty and the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Lesotho. A statement on the organization's website explains, "[Sentebale] direct aids through funding and management support to voluntary, grassroots community services that attempt to fill the gaps in care. Whether they offer vulnerable children safe accommodation, hot meals or psychosocial support, these services can make a huge difference to children’s ability to lead a more rewarding life. We also consider more entrepreneurial projects that can change the lives of communities trying to support vulnerable children."
