Glamour magazine’s Women of the Year
Congratulations to Kaitlin Roig-DeBellis for being named one of Glamour magazine’s Women of the Year. The Greenwich resident recently graced the cover of our September issue, in which she told her very personal story of surviving the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting. Last month, Glamour honored Kaitlin for her heroism in saving students’ lives and for her fortitude in creating the nonprofit Classes 4 Classes in the wake of the tragedy.
At the magazine’s annual Carnegie Hall awards gala Kaitlin was in some pretty impressive company. Lady Gaga, Melinda Gates, Malala Yousafzai and Kerry Washington were among the distinguished honorees. “I am beyond grateful to Glamour for honoring me as a Woman of the Year, in the company of such accomplished, talented, awe-inspiring women. In honoring me, they are honoring our work at Classes 4 Classes, Inc., which is incredibly important to me. I thank Glamour from the bottom of my heart,” says Kaitlin.
Bravo, Kaitlin, bravo!
