More than 150 friends and supporters of the Greenwich Symphony gathered for a wine-and-cheese tasting party to benefit the Symphony’s thirty-third season of the Young People’s Concert Series. These concerts are designed to introduce Greenwich students to the symphony and the music of the great masters. John Yoon, director of bands for Greenwich High School, was honored for his work. Scott Mitchell hosted the event at Richards. Terry Rogers Matthews of Horseneck Wine & Liquor provided eighty different wines for tasting and donated a portion of the proceeds from the evening’s wine sales. Funds raised from the event will benefit the symphony’s nine performances this season, presented without charge to Greenwich students in grades two through seven. greenwichsymphony.org
