YWCA Aquatic Hall of Fame Luncheon

2012 Aquatic Hall of Fame, Class of 2013 Honorees: James Case, Lauren Church, Alexander Lewis, Emily Stotesbery, Rachel Sodokoff and Mark O’Connell
The ninth annual YWCA Greenwich Aquatic Hall of Fame luncheon was held at the Hyatt Regency. The event honored outstanding swimmers, divers, water polo players, coaches and volunteers whose accomplishments have enriched the lives of many in the community. The large audience, including U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal, applauded seven Class of 2013 inductees, as well as six 2012 performers-of-the-year honorees. Proceeds benefit the YWCA Aquatic Scholarship Fund. Inductees (pictured above) were Kenneth Garnett, Field Garthwaite, Brad Hittle, Kristin Norrgard, Gary Oztemel, Mary Wallace and Anton Whiteford. The Walter Rothenheber Memorial Performers-of-the-Year Award went to Lauren Church and Alexander Lewis. Emily Stotesbery and Mark O’Connell won the Diver-of-the-Year Award, and the Tim Nesvig Memorial Water Polo Player-of-the-Year Award was taken by Rachel Sodokoff and James Case.
