Innovation was the name of the game for the sixth annual Women in Business networking event at the Stamford Hilton. More than 300 guests rubbed elbows at a cocktail reception during which they sampled the products and services of dozens of sponsors. The evening’s power panel of speakers included Emmy Award-winning television news anchor and reporter Kendra Farn; Virginia P’an, the founder and CEO of Yumi EcoSolutions; Florence Quinn, president of Quinn & Co. Public Relations; and Jackie Ekholm, the founder of MOO Chocolates. The panel discussed the importance of innovating in business, which is a particularly critical skill in challenging economic times. Lux Bond & Green donated the evening’s grand prize drawing: an Ippolita 18-karat gold Ondine teardrop necklace and Rock Candy mother-of-pearl earrings. Other prizes included a new 2013 BMW weekend joyride and a one-night mini-vacation at the Delamar Greenwich Harbor. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Breast Cancer Alliance. breastcanceralliance.org
