Thoughtful Soles

Greenwich United Way

photographs by Susan Ferris

Who are the Sole Sisters? They are ladies with a mission and a motto: “Stepping Up to Help Others Step Forward.” The United Sole Sisters, the women’s initiative of the Greenwich United Way, kicked off its year of fundraising with a cocktail party at Winston Flowers on Greenwich Avenue. The event, cochaired by Robbie Kestnbaum and Allison Wolowitz, both long-standing Sole Sisters, launched the group’s ninth season of educating members about community needs and working to raise funds to support them. The organization is poised to top $1 million this year in fundraising. The annual Sole Sisters luncheon and fashion accessories boutique, cochaired by Kim Miller and Anne Sherrerd, will be held at the Greenwich Country Club this spring. unitedsolesisters.org
