Nine hundred (yes, 900!) pretty-in-pink, polished and thoughtful local ladies and a few gentlemen filtered into the Hyatt Regency Greenwich for the seventeenth annual Breast Cancer Alliance Benefit Luncheon and Fashion Show. The cochairs of the event were Annie Amato, Kim Augustine, Mary Jeffery and Terrie Henry.

Lee Woodruff, journalist, best-selling author and wife of wounded journalist Bob Woodruff, gave the keynote speech, addressing the subject of strength in times of adversity. Greenwich resident Debbi O’Shea shared her touching personal story of detection and survival.

The most moving part of the afternoon came when eleven women and one man, all breast cancer survivors, took to the runway and modeled fashions from Richards. The goal of next year’s event is to break the thousand guest mark. Will you be there? breastcanceralliance.org
