The newly renovated YMCA invited all their favorite crewmates to set sail for a magical night in the heart of town. Mermaids greeted the 300 guests at the nautical themed evening, which saw the gym and pool transformed into a fabulous cruise ship and nightclub. Guests were encouraged to travel to different “ports of call” by tasting regional cuisine from France, Spain, Portugal and Italy, all of which was donated by Greenwich restaurants L’Escale, Gabriele’s, Douro, Barcelona and Wine Wise. The event raised over $250,000 which will be used to both expand and create new programs for the community. Founded in 1916, the YMCA of Greenwich is the largest community-based organization in Greenwich with more than 5,000 members dedicated to healthy living, youth development and social responsibility. greenwichymca.org »
