Morello Bistro on Greenwich Avenue hosted a pre-tournament party to launch the NFL Alumni CT Chapter second annual Celebrity Classic. Jimmy Branigan, general manager of Morello, welcomed NFL Alumni players, sponsors, family and friends. The evening began with a moving rendition of our national anthem, sung by twelve-year-old Broadway actress and New Canaan resident Sadie Seelert. Chapter President Steve Thurlow spoke about the NFL’s commitment to caring for kids, which it advances through fundraising, community service and social events. Tiffany bracelets and Super Bowl raffle tickets were sold to raise money for the chapter’s efforts. Proceeds from the event will be distributed to various charities, including the First Tee of CT, the Umbrella Club, YWCA of Darien/Norwalk, OPUS for Person-to-Person, Circle of Care, Future 5 and many more.
