Swimmingly Well

With famed swim coach Nick Cavataro as the event host, the YWCA Greenwich Aquatic Hall of Fame honored outstanding swimmers, divers, water polo players, coaches and volunteers whose accomplishments have enriched the lives of many in our community. This year’s eighth annual event began in style when Senator Richard Blumenthal addressed the crowd: “The personal stories you hear today are extraordinary, the people being honored have great accomplishments in athletics and in life and have all given back to the community that honors them today.” Hall of Fame inductees included Cheryl Campbell Carroll, Charlie Leigh, Tim Nesvig (posthumous), R. Jackson Smith (posthumous) Megan Ann Tincher, Cookie Campbell Werner and Stuart Whiteside. Honorees included swimmers Michael Dustin and Erin Calderoni of Greenwich High School; divers Connor Brisson of Greenwich High School and Amanda Molinelli of Sacred Heart; water polo players Matthew Weber and Kristina Anne Norrgard of Greenwich High School.
