An Audrey-Inspired Ball

YWCA of Greenwich

Photographs by Elaine Ubina/www.fairfieldcountylook.com

The Greenwich belles of the ball put on their best for the Roman Holiday-themed 2012 YWCA Persimmon Ball. More than 450 supporters turned out for the black-tie gala, which filled the ballroom of the Hyatt Regency and featured dinner, dancing, and live and silent auctions. This year’s Honoree was Toni Wyman, a visionary YWCA leader, who, as president of the board from 1968–1970, was instrumental in opening the new YWCA building on East Putnam Avenue. Funds raised during the evening support the many programs and services that make YWCA Greenwich a prime resource for families, including scholarships for children and youth in need who participate in preschool, after-school programs, camps, aquatics and free women’s leadership seminars. ywcagreenwich.org
