Get a Pedicure in Greenwich
Not just a pedicure, but a pedi-CURE
It’s been a long winter and your feet deserve some extra TLC. A really great pedicure not only makes your toes look good in those new sandals, but it gives a solid dose of relaxation and rejuvenation. If you want to treat yourself to an above-average pedicure, read on to get the skinny on two of our favorite super-indulgent foot treatments in town.
151 Greenwich Ave
This spring Dream Spa in Greenwich is introducing pedicures to their spa menu. If you’ve had the pleasure of getting a pedi in their Westport location, then you know that us Greenwich girls are in for a treat! Aptly named “Dream Feet” this luxurious foot treatment involves the same basic steps as the spa’s “Essential” pedicure, plus an exfoliating scrub, hydrating mask, cozy slippers and a relaxing leg and foot massage.
It’s really the details of this treatment that make it so special. Your Dream Spa technician uses a delicate brush to paint the lavender and eucalyptus mask on to your legs. There is something incredibly indulgent about having a person paint a mask onto you with gentle brushstrokes. But it gets better. Our favorite part of this treatment is the foot wrap. After your feet and legs are painted they are wrapped in plastic baggies and then placed into heated slippers that are deliciously warm and cozy. The really cool part happens about five minutes after your feet have been wrapped – the mask becomes tingly, in a good way. It’s like you can feel it all working magic on your skin.
Another thing to love about Dream Spa is that their polish selection extends beyond the basic Essie and OPI lines you’ll find in most nail salons. Here they offer more high-end choices, our personal favorite being Butter.
103 Greenwich Ave
In need of a really fabulous pedicure ASAP but there’s no time to book an appointment at a high-end spa? No worries, Cozy Nails is to the rescue. Cozy may be a typical nail salon and lack some of the ambience that you’ll find in an exclusive spa, but their “Spa Pedicure” is about as luxurious as it gets.
The salon offers a variety of scents to choose from, including pomegranate and raspberry but we opted for the lavender for its calming effect. After the lavender mask is applied the legs and feet are wrapped in saran wrap and then again in a warm towel.
The best part of the Spa Pedicure is the massage. The ladies at Cozy Nails really know how to get into those cranky spots and this treatment allows for ample massage time. Because after all, isn’t that everyone’s favorite part of a pedicure? Our feet felt silky smooth after a rigorous scrubbing with a pumice stone and our polish lasted longer than the Dream Spa pedicure.
Bottom line? Dream Spa and Cozy Nails deliver super-luxe pedi-CURES that will really feel like a cure for both your mind and your feet. That’s what we call a head to toe treatment!
