TREEHOUSES: Look Who's Living in the Trees!

Date/Time

Jun 21, 2014 to Sep 1, 2014
09:00 AM

This event occurs daily, every 1 day(s).

Description

Saturday, June 21 - Monday, September 1

Hidden in the leaves, snug in the trunk or burrowed under the roots, what types of animals actually live in a tree? Bring your entire family to our super summer exhibition and find out just who and what lives in a tree! This exhibition encourages visitors to get up close and explore the variety of life forms that live in trees. You can go inside our two totally interactive, indoor Tree Houses and travel across the multistory Observation Bridge. Your family can complete a scavenger hunt by spotting animals through a periscope and stereoscopic viewfinders. Investigators can follow animal tracking clues and can dance to a light-floor forest soundtrack!

Visitors enter via a universally accessible ramp. Children of all ages can design and construct treehouses using connective wooden building toys. Finally, grab an explorer's backpack at the Overbrook Nature Center and then hit the trails for the full immersion in the learning-by-doing opportunities that are unique to the Stamford Museum & Nature Center. Members: Free | Non-Members: FREE with gate admission. For more information call 203.977-6521, e-mail info@stamfordmuseum.org or visit www.stamfordmuseum.org
