In an unusual turn, Taconic Opera invites the public to take part in their November production of Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor. One performance only of the famous Scottish story will be performed at the Music Conservatory of Westchester, White Plains on Sunday, November 24th at 3:00pm. The lead singers will be fully staged and in costume, and audience members are invited to sing the chorus music! This may well be the most intimate opera experience you may ever have.
Singers who have their own score should bring them to the performance, and copies will be made available at the door for a small fee to cover printing costs. Lights will stay on so you can follow along in your score. If you are a bit timid, don’t worry: the chorus of the Taconic Opera will be in the audience to help you along. If you just want to listen, no problem: you will be thrilled by the amazing vocalism of our opera stars.
Tickets to the event can be obtained online at www.taconicopera.org or by calling the toll-free number (855) 886-7372. Seating is limited so reservations or a call just prior to the event are suggested. Tickets (open seating) are a nominal price of $22 or $15 for seniors and students. The Music Conservatory of Westchester is handicap accessible and offers parking.
