Home School Day: Going Local!

Jun 17, 2014
10:00 AM

Join SM&NC education staff to investigate all the great things that grow in Connecticut and the local area. Discover the Geography of Connecticut through our local farms and figure out how far some of our food travels. Learn to identify our local species of reptiles and amphibians through live specimens and a trail hike and meet our new spring babies on the farm. Discover what we grow in our organic vegetable garden and plant some veggies and herbs to take home to grow in yours! Limited enrollment allows for small groups. A group lunch period allows for homeschoolers to meet each other and share ideas. For ages 5 and up; younger siblings and parents/teachers attend at no charge. To register, contact Lisa Monachelli at 203.977.6515 or lmonachelli@stamfordmuseum.org  Members/Non-Members: $15/child. For more information visit www.stamfordmuseum.org
