Greenwich physician Dr. Steven Murphy, Fairfield County’s only board certified weight loss clinician, will speak at the Greenwich Library, 101 West Putnam Avenue, Monday, July 21, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m, about the battle against weight gain and introduce his new medically designed and supervised program, HALSAmd.
After experiencing his own struggles with weight, Dr. Murphy set off on a mission to help others with the strong belief that a medical problem requires a medical solution. Covered by most health insurance plans, HALSAmd is a science-based method tailored to a patient’s metabolic and genetic profile. The program has resulted in sustainable and reliable weight loss of 28 pounds for the average patient over one year, five times the results of other commercial programs. With HALSAmd, 98 percent of patients lost weight and improved their health.
Dr. Murphy maintains a private practice in Greenwich at 115 East Putnam Avenue and is also a clinical instructor in cell biology and anatomy at New York Medical College and a Yale Affiliated Hospitals speaker. Dr. Murphy completed his internship in medical genetics and pediatrics at The Mount Sinai Hospital, served as the Chief Resident in Internal Medicine at Greenwich Hospital/Yale School of Medicine and was the Clinical Fellow in Medical Genetics at Yale School of Medicine, leaving early to start his personalized primary care medicine practice.
Dr. Murphy will be joined by HALSAmd colleagues Suzanne Magnotta, Registered Dietitian and Certified Weight Management Specialist, and Clinical Supervisor Kelly Melchionno, APRN. Complimentary body composition analysis and blood pressure screening will be available to attendees, along with a gift bag with samples of HALSAmd nutrition bars and vitamins. The event will take place in the second floor meeting room of the Greenwich Library. RSVP at info@HALSAmd.com or call 203-517-4600. For more information visit HALSAmd.com
