Marvel at the artistic use of such novel medium as styrene and rust at Pro(per)spective 2: Material Matters, the second of The J House hotel's new series of revolving shows by emerging artists.

The new exhibition presents works by two New York / Brooklyn based artists - sculptor John Powers and painter Jeremy Wagner - whose pieces are created from unexpected and challenging materials. The the exhbition celebrates their non-traditional exploration of materials and techniques. Specifically, Powers's rectilinear building blocks in progressive sizes made of styrene and wood and Wagner's steel "canvases" painted with rust, charcoal and enamel.
