This event occurs weekly, on Sunday and Saturday.
The First Congregational Church of Greenwich is hosting their Annual Craft Sale of handcrafted goods from Maine on Saturday, November 23, 9am to 4pm, and Sunday, November 24, 11am to 1pm. The event is open to the public and all are invited.
Come by and enjoy some Maine hospitality and shopping. Offerings include handmade quilts, Christmas decorations and gifts, wooden toys, woven scarves, hand knitted sweaters, hats and gloves, pottery, homemade jams, maple syrup and much, much more!
All proceeds benefit H.O.M.E. (Homeworkers Organized for More Employment), which is a craft co-operative working with the rural poor in Hancock County, Maine. H.O.M.E.’s programs include the operation of a free health clinic, a soup kitchen, and food bank, homeless shelters, learning center with daycare, literacy and GED tutoring, and job and craft training.
Their sawmill produces lumber from which houses are built for folks in need of adequate housing. H.O.M.E. has been an outreach ministry of First Congregational Church for many years.
