 , a contemporary art gallery in New Canaan\, Connecticut\, in collaboratio
 n with Barry Friedman Ltd.\, a New York-based gallery\, announce the upcom
 ing exhibition\, <em>Michael Eastman Photographs</em>. Opening on Friday\,
  November 30\, the show features nine prints including selections from the
  “Landscapes and Horses” series. The exhibition will close on February 6\,
  2013.</p>\n<p>\n	 </p>\n<p>\n	Heather Gaudio invites the community to the
  opening reception to be held from 5pm to 8pm on Friday\, November 30. 'We
  are thrilled to have the opportunity to bring Michael Eastman’s talents t
 o this area. It is truly a must-see exhibition\,” states Gaudio.</p>\n<p>
 	<br />\n	Michael Eastman counts Edward Weston\, Walker Evans\, and Henry 
 Moore\, among his influences. Eastman has spent the past forty years captu
 ring subjects ranging from Cuban life to landscapes to architecture. “East
 man’s photographs maintain a painterly quality with rich colors\, dramatic
  lighting\, and lavish details. He has been referred to as a contemporary 
 urban alchemist magically transforming everyday common objects and surface
 s into precious and profound photographs\,” (Barry Friedman Ltd.).</p>\n<p
 >\n	 </p>\n<p>\n	<strong>Heather Gaudio Fine Art</strong> specializes in b
 oth emerging and established artists\, offering works on paper\, photograp
 hy\, painting and sculpture. The gallery offers a full range of art adviso
 ry services\, from forming and maintaining a collection to framing and ins
 tallation. The focus is on each individual client\, selecting art that bes
 t serves his or her vision\, space\, and resources. Offering five shows pe
 r year\, the exhibitions are designed to showcase important talent and pro
 vide artwork appealing to a broad range of interests. Gallery hours are Tu

 >\n<p>\n	<strong>Michael Eastman</strong> has established himself as one o
 f the world's leading contemporary photographic artists. The self-taught p
 hotographer has spent four decades documenting interiors and facades in ci
 ties as diverse as Havana\, Paris\, Rome\, and New Orleans\, producing lar
 ge-scale photographs unified by their visual precision\, monumentality\, a
 nd painterly use of color. Eastman is most recognized for his explorations
  of architectural form and the textures of decay\, which create mysterious
  narratives about time and place. He still relies on capturing the image o
 n film and continues to print the images himself.</p>\n<p>\n	 </p>\n<p>\n	
 Eastman's photographs have appeared in Time\, Life\, and American Photogra
 pher\, and they reside in the collections of The Metropolitan Museum of Ar
 t\, the International Center of Photography\, The Art Institute of Chicago
 \, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art\, and other prestigious institutio
 ns. His books include Havana (2011\, Prestel)\, Vanishing America (2008\, 
 Rizzoli) and Horses (2003\, Knopf)\, which is now in its fifth edition. Ea
